New singleplayer mode Survival

New update and also first devlog post for Surprise Attack!

The summer break always makes me rethink about where to go with my projects, and it leaves me a bit confused. So I made this incomplete half-update to get back to the pre-summer development pace.

I think that I'm at a point now where I should focus on some singleplayer content so here what this update brings.

New singleplayer mode: Survival

In this mode the player will encounter hordes of enemies. My idea is to make a sort of roguelike out of this mode. Although at the moment it doesn't seem quite fun, as there is only one enemy type and no logic to the rewards given.

For this mode I've also added a new map, the Dungeon, with its own music. This map is still work in progress as I don't want to be exclusive for the Survival mode.

Rolls

Added a new item: the Paper of Roll. It holds the secrets of dodge-rolling allowing the players who receive it to replace their down attack with this evasive move.

Other changes

Refactoring and technical changes that makes it easier to add new game modes in the future.

Also some bug-fixes to the player input manager.
